Crystalyn Boyer currently teaches General Music Grades 2-5 and Choir Grades 4-5 at Anne Sullivan and Betsy Ross Elementary Schools. In addition to working at D23, Mrs. Boyer also works as an accompanist for Palatine Children's Choir, pianist at Palatine Presbyterian Church, and teaches piano lessons at Harper College. She enjoys both teaching and making music, and is glad to be able to do both in a variety of settings!
Mrs. Boyer graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and Piano Performance from University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) in 2013. While at CCM, she worked as an accompanist for Cincinnati Children's Choir and CCM musical theater voice lessons. She also worked as a music education intern at GLAD House, an after-school program for at-risk youth. After graduating from CCM, Mrs. Boyer taught General Music and Choir Grades PreK-8 at Corryville Catholic School in Cincinnati.
Recently, Mrs. Boyer finished her Master of Music Degree at DePaul University. During this time, she taught private lessons and also performed chamber music with a wide variety of groups. Mrs. Boyer is looking forward to another year in the music classroom with students at Ross and Sullivan!!
